Candidate Privacy Notice

Who this is for

This notice is for chefs, cleaning, housekeeping and other hospitality professionals who register with Crust Empire Ltd, registered in England and Wales, Company Number 16414133, registered office Flat 26, Citrine House, 87 Lismore Boulevard, London, NW9 4GD.

What we collect from you

At registration: your name, email, telephone, the role you are applying for, your experience, the areas you can work, your availability, your answer about right to work in the UK, anything you tell us in the message field, and any CV or supporting files you attach.

If your registration is approved and you go on to provide documents, that may include right-to-work documents, DBS certificates, professional and food safety certificates and similar. We ask for these only where they are needed for the assignment.

How we use it

To assess whether we can offer you assignments, to carry out the checks described on our Compliance page, and to contact you when suitable work arises.

Who can see your documents

Only authorised Crust Empire staff. Your files are stored outside the public area of the website, with unguessable filenames, and cannot be downloaded without signing in.

Clients do not get automatic access to your CV or your documents. A client can make a request about a candidate, and we share a CV only after that request has been reviewed and it is appropriate to do so.

What is shown publicly

If we feature you in our staff profiles, we show only a short professional summary: your first name, role, skills, qualifications and an experience summary. We never publish your CV, contact details, address, right-to-work documents, DBS documents or identity documents.

How long we keep it

For as long as you may reasonably want to be considered for assignments. Tell us if you want to be removed and we will delete your record and your files.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent. Contact recruitment@crust-empire.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
